Accurx offer all Accufolk the chance to have private medical insurance by AXA.
You can opt into the policy through Happl using your allowance.
The annual price per employee is £550, which can be covered using your annual £600 Happl allowance provided by Accurx.
What’s included?
Opting in:
Employees opting in midway through the year will have their Wellbeing Allowance deducted based on the cost to opt in for a year (£550) pro-rated by the number of days left in the calendar year 🗓️
- E.g: if someone were to opt in on 25 March 2025, they would have £423.42 (281/365 days x £550) deducted from their Wellbeing Allowance.
⚠️ Once opted in, you will automatically be opted back in on 1 January the following year, unless you opt out by 31 December ⚠️
Opting out:
Once you are opted in for the year, you can still opt out mid-year but you will not have your Wellbeing Allowance topped back up from date of opting out. Opting out will only mean that from the date of opt out, the pro-rated cost of the policy will not be treated as a taxable benefit.
- Reasoning: the purpose of the scheme is not so that people can opt in when treatment is needed and then opt straight back out. The introduction of this policy will ensure the scheme does not become significantly more expensive for everyone when it comes up for renewal.
