👶 Eligibility

Employees who are preparing to welcome a new child into their family, whether through birth or adoption—may be eligible for enhanced parental leave.

Eligibility details vary based on your tenure and parental role.


📘 Key Terms

Term Definition
Birthing Parent The individual who gives birth or becomes the primary parent (in case of adoption). Eligible for maternity leave.
Non-Birthing Parent The individual who does not give birth and is not the primary parent. Eligible for paternity, adoption, or shared-parental leave.
Enhanced Parental Leave Paid leave offered to birthing and non-birthing parents that goes beyond statutory entitlements.
Statutory Leave/Pay Government-mandated leave/pay during maternity, paternity, or adoption leave.
