We know that losing a loved one it’s an incredibly difficult time and we want to make sure we give you the best support we can. We also recognise that grief impacts people in different ways, and we think it’s important this is reflected in our compassionate leave.

Reasons you might take compassionate leave:

If something else not captured above is affecting your ability to work, please chat to your line manager or a member of the People team so we can work out how to best support you.

By default you can take up to 10 days of paid leave so that you can grieve and get the support you need during this time. In terms of “closeness”, we trust you and won’t ask you to define this, or the relationship you had to this person.

Emergency Leave

We know that there will be times where team members need time off to deal with emergencies related to those close in their life. If such an emergency happens, we trust you, and will not ask you to who or to be explicit in the details. Please do check in with your line manager or People team though so we can work with you to help figure out the best way to support you.
